Privacy Policy

What Scenvy collects, who it's shared with, how long it's kept, and how to control it.

Last updated August 22, 2026.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how MyChargePoint BW – Silas Wöhr ("Scenvy," "we," "us"), Schloßgartenstraße 27, 76275 Ettlingen, Germany, collects, uses, and shares information through the Scenvy website and application. It applies to visitors, account holders, and anyone whose data reaches us through a video someone else made. Our Terms of Service govern your use of Scenvy generally; this policy is specifically about data.

2. Data we collect

Account data. The email and password you sign up with (your password is hashed by our login provider; we never see it in plain text), and the onboarding answers you give us: your country, and how you describe yourself as a creator, your experience level, your goals, and the video formats you're interested in. Country is used for account and billing settings.

Content data. The topic and brief you give Scenvy for a video, any document, footage, image, transcript, or voice recording you upload, messages you send to the in-app AI direction assistant, the research, script, and narration a project produces, and the finished video itself.

Billing data. Your plan, subscription status, and a full record of credits purchased, granted, and spent on your account. Your payment method itself is held by Stripe, not by us.

Technical data. Your IP address and basic request information, seen by our hosting providers as part of serving any website request. Cookies are covered separately in Section 7.

Support communications. Anything you send us at contact@scenvy.app to ask for help.

3. How we use your data

  • To create and run your account, and to remember your preferences.
  • To research your topic, write and narrate your video, and source visuals for it.
  • To process payments, apply credits, and send billing related communications.
  • To send transactional email, like your video finishing or a storage retention warning.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
  • To meet a legal or tax obligation we're subject to.

5. Who we share data with

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it for advertising. Producing a video or using the in-app AI direction assistant sends relevant topic, chat, and in some cases uploaded image, footage, or document content to the outside providers below, each acting on our instructions to help deliver the Service:

  • Supabase. Account login and database services. Scenvy does not use a public Supabase storage bucket for user uploads.
  • Stripe. Billing, subscriptions, and payment details. Scenvy never sees your full card number.
  • Anthropic and Google (Gemini). Research your topic, write the script and narration, and review sourced visuals for safety.
  • OpenAI. Web search during research, generating AI thumbnails from your video's brief and script excerpts, and speech synthesis when that voice is selected.
  • OpenRouter. Routes AI model requests (for example feasibility checks and visual review) to the model providers listed here.
  • Brave Search. Web search used during research, when configured.
  • ElevenLabs, xAI, and Microsoft's Edge speech service. Turn narration text into a spoken voice track.
  • YouTube (Google). Search results used as optional thumbnail inspiration, when you request them.
  • Pexels, Pixabay, Internet Archive, Library of Congress, Wikimedia Commons, NASA, the Smithsonian, and Freesound. Licensed and public domain stock photos, footage, and audio used as visuals in your video.
  • Resend. Transactional email, like a video finishing or a retention warning.
  • RunPod. On demand cloud compute for rendering.
  • Our hosting providers. Run the website and application servers, persist video workspace files during their retention window, and see request metadata like your IP address.

We may also share data if the law requires it, to enforce our Terms of Service, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your data under the new owner.

6. International data transfers

Most of the providers listed in Section 5 are based in the United States. If you're accessing Scenvy from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with its own data transfer rules, your data may be processed in a country whose laws differ from your own. Where that requires a specific safeguard, such as standard contractual clauses, we put one in place with the provider concerned.

7. Cookies and local storage

Scenvy uses a small number of first-party cookies and local-storage values:

  • A login session cookie that keeps you signed in.
  • A language preference cookie that remembers which of our translations to show you.
  • A consent preference cookie that remembers the privacy choice you make in the cookie dialog.

Scenvy currently does not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. The dialog lets you record your preference now and gives you a way to revisit it from the footer. If that changes, we'll update this section and activate the relevant optional category only after asking first. Separately, when you're partway through starting a video, your browser's own local storage keeps a draft of it on your device for up to a day; that draft never leaves your browser unless you continue and submit it.

8. How long we keep your data

A video and everything under it, including uploads, drafts, recordings, and its direction assistant transcript, is kept for as long as your plan's storage window from the last time you touched it: 7 days on the free plan, 14 days on Starter, 30 days on Creator, and 180 days on Studio plans. We email a warning before anything is deleted on that schedule. If we can't deliver that warning to the email on your account, we hold the content flagged for review rather than guaranteeing it's deleted on time.

Billing records are kept for as long as we're required to for tax and accounting purposes, even after the related video has been deleted. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize the rest of your data within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep it longer to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to confirm what data we hold about you, get a copy of it, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. California residents have a similar right to know, delete, and correct their data, and to not be discriminated against for exercising it; we don't sell or share personal information for cross context advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of on that front.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@scenvy.app. You can deactivate or permanently delete your account from Account settings. For data export requests and any request you cannot complete in the app, email us; we'll respond within the time the law where you live allows, typically 30 to 45 days. If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children's privacy

Scenvy isn't directed at children and our Terms of Service require you to be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to sign up. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger than that; if we learn we have, we'll delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypting data in transit, authenticated owner checks in the API, private storage objects, and Row Level Security policies that restrict direct database reads to the signed-in owner. AI provider keys and system prompts remain server-side, and chat inputs are rate-limited and safety-filtered before production processing. No method of storing or transmitting data is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If we experience a breach that the law requires us to tell you about, we will.

12. Automated processing

Producing a video is an automated process: models research your topic, write the script and narration, and screen sourced visuals for safety and licensing without a person reviewing each step. This shapes the content of your video, but it doesn't make a legal or similarly significant decision about you as a person, the kind of automated decision that would normally come with a right to request human review.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. If a change is material, for example a new category of data or a new subprocessor with access to content data, we'll notify you by email or through the app before it takes effect.

15. Contact us

Questions about this policy, or a privacy request, can go to contact@scenvy.app.
