Writing narration that earns trust

Clear, honest voiceover is a craft. A few of the editorial rules we lean on to keep every format sounding grounded.

Say what the viewer needs

Good narration is selective. It introduces the question, gives the evidence enough room to land, and removes language that sounds impressive without adding meaning.

Keep certainty proportional

A source can support a fact without proving a grand conclusion. Scenvy keeps those levels separate so the voice does not sound more certain than the research allows.

Let the visuals carry their share

The voice should not describe every pixel on screen. It should give the viewer the context or connection that the image, chart, or clip cannot provide by itself.
