Turn one finished video into a set of shorts

Short vertical clips work best when they have a complete hook, idea, and payoff. Here is how to select moments worth cutting.

Look for a complete thought

The strongest short is not always the loudest moment. It gives the viewer a reason to keep watching, enough context to understand the point, and a clean ending.

Reframe the story

A vertical clip needs its own visual hierarchy. Captions, safe margins, and the focal subject should be rebuilt for the smaller frame instead of simply cropping the long-form master.

Make a set, not duplicates

A batch is more useful when each clip has a different hook or angle. The selection step should spread across the video rather than returning five versions of the same sentence.
