How the pipeline decides a stage is ready to lock

A look at the checks that sit between research, script, and render, and what happens when one of them does not pass.

Stages are contracts

Every production stage produces a concrete artifact for the next one. A stage is not complete because a model returned text; it is complete when the artifact meets the checks that make downstream work safe.

A failed check is useful

When a stage cannot lock, the interface keeps the problem close to the artifact that caused it. That is faster to act on than a generic failed-generation message at the end of a long run.

Progress you can understand

The production view exposes the same sequence the backend uses. You can see what is finished, what is being checked, and what still needs a decision before rendering continues.
